Partnership Application
W12Together are one of 150 areas in England to be given £1m of lottery funding to spend over 10 years on resident-led projects. We are a Partnership board of local residents who have put together a Community Plan.
We are currently recruiting for new Partnership members to join us, as a resident or a professional non-voting member. Some of the responsibilities include:
• attending monthly Board meetings and read documents beforehand (approximately 2-3 hours per month);
• as well as monthly Board meetings, be involved in at least one other aspect of W12Together e.g. attending theme working group meetings or supporting projects (additional 2-3 hours per month)
• providing information and advice about day-to-day quality of life in the area or provide expertise to resident members;
• actively encouraging people in the area to play their part in supporting Big Local and its activities
Positions explained:
Youth Committee: This group is composed of young individuals who bring fresh perspectives and ideas to the table. They focus on issues and activities relevant to the youth in the community, ensuring that their voices are heard and their needs are addressed.
Board Member: Board members are typically responsible for the strategic direction and governance of the organisation. They make high-level decisions, oversee financial matters, and ensure that the organisation's mission and goals are being met.
Volunteer: Volunteers support the organisation by contributing their time and skills to various projects and activities. They might assist in events, help with administrative tasks, or participate in community outreach efforts.
Community Researcher: Community researchers gather data and insights about the community’s needs, challenges, and strengths. They conduct surveys, interviews, and other research activities to inform the organisation's programs and initiatives.
