Do you want to help make our community healthier, happier and more connected? We’d love to hear from you.
There are lots of ways to get involved — from volunteering at local events, sharing your skills, or joining our Board.
W12Together are one of 150 areas in England to be given £1m of lottery funding to spend over 10 years on resident-led projects.
Whether you have specific skills or just a can-do attitude and passion for the community, there’s a place for you. Most roles do not require previous experience.
Ways to Get Involved
Volunteer
Volunteers support our work by giving their time and skills to a range of activities. This could include:
Helping at community events
Supporting ongoing projects or outreach
Assisting with administration or logistics
Location: Across the White City & Wormholt area
Time commitment: One-off events or regular involvement

Join Our Board of Trustees
We are currently recruiting new trustees, including Treasurer and Secretary roles.
Location: White City (hybrid or remote options available)
Time commitment: Approx. 4–6 hours per month
Type: Voluntary (reasonable expenses reimbursed)

Available Board Roles
Treasurer
As Treasurer, you will play a key role in overseeing the financial health of the charity. You’ll work closely with the Chair, trustees, and staff to ensure sound financial governance and help us make informed decisions that support our mission.
Key Responsibilities
• Ensure proper financial controls and procedures are in place.
• Present regular financial reports to the board.
• Oversee budgeting and financial planning.
• Ensure compliance with statutory financial reporting.
• Support fundraising strategy and assess financial implications of plans.
• Ensure preparation and scrutiny of annual accounts.
Skills & Qualities
• Financial literacy and experience in financial management.
• Ability to explain financial information clearly.
• Understanding of charity finance regulations.
Secretary
As Secretary, you will help ensure the smooth and efficient governance of the charity. You’ll work closely with the Chair, trustees, and staff to coordinate meetings, maintain accurate records, and support effective communication across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and circulate agendas and minutes for board meetings.
• Maintain statutory records (e.g. trustee register, minutes).
• Ensure compliance with reporting deadlines.
• Support communication between trustees and stakeholders.
• Maintain governance documents and policies.
Skills & Qualities
• Organisational and administrative skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Familiarity with charity governance.
