Prize Bingo Night Event
What an incredible evening! The collaboration between W12 Together and the Sipho Bowen Foundation truly shone through in our first Prize Bingo Night, setting the stage for many more events to come. Thank you to everyone who attended and made the night special. It was heartwarming to see our diverse community come together, celebrating unity and the spirit of togetherness. The event brought together young and old, highlighting the strength and beauty of our community when we unite for a great cause.
Special thanks to the Sipho Bowen Foundation for hosting the event. From Sipho's inspiring ideas to Aunty Dawn's delicious food, and the entire foundation team’s efforts, the evening was magical. W12 Together is excited about this collaboration and looks forward to future events.
Don't miss our next event on Friday, November 29th, and join us every last Friday of the month moving forward!

Key4life
Key4Life – Was funded by W12 together to support young men aged 18 – 30 in the White City & Wormholt area in 2021 as part of Covid recovery. Key4Life is a crime prevention charity that works with young men in prison, those at risk of going to prison and those caught up in knife crime in London. Key4Life’s mission is to break the cycle of reoffending amongst young men aged 18-30 who have the highest reoffending rates and lowest chances of securing employment. Key4Life’s 3 main focus areas are: Breaking the cycle of reoffending, Emotional. Health and Wellbeing and Increased Employment Opportunities. We do this through emotional resilience training, work preparation (such as cv writing skills, mock interviews and 3-day work tasters) and ongoing support for at least a year after the programme.
They set a target of recruiting twenty participants for the programme. In the end, they recruited twenty-two participants for the programme, surpassing their target. As part of the project, they delivered a 2-day residential trip to Somerset. Two Equine Therapy sessions. Two Emotional Resilience 1:1 sessions. One football sport for thought session, Two Tools4Life sessions. One music workshop.

The Tree of Life Community Training
8 members of the community were trained to facilitate Tree of Life Workshops within the Community with the hope that W12 Together will be able to offer this intervention to the community. The co-author of the methodology joined us in White City in order to offer the training. The Tree of Life is a recovery approach based on narrative theory that focuses on culture, heritage, spirituality, strength and hopes.
It introduces psychological ideas of strength, resilience and relationship.
The Tree of Life uses a tree as a metaphor for someone’s life; different parts of the tree represent different aspects of an individual’s life. For example, the roots are about where we come from both physically and in terms of the values and commitments that influence us. The trunk represents our skills and resources, the branches our hopes and dreams. Leaves are those people who are important and influential in our lives. The fruits are the gifts we have received from others – not necessarily material; these could simply be gifts of love and tolerance.
